Vertebroplasty
Case 4- Mdm AN
- 54-year-old Chinese female
- Known rheumatoid arthritis patient on long term high steroid
- Had a minor fall and subsequently complained of severe back pain
- X rays showed osteoporotic L1 vertebral compression
- CT scan showed the fracture with some fragment into the spinal canal

Procedure
- Vertebroplasty was done for the patient.
- Under sedation, the patient was placed in prone position.
- Through small stab skin incisions, needles were introduced into the fractured vertebral body and bone cement injected to strengthen the bone.
